A love of strings seems to be a prerequisite for listening to chamber music. However they do share with other instruments of the orchestra in the compositions of the leaders in the field, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and Dvorak. Works of less prolific composers will be scattered throughout the course as we listen to and view excellent musicians bringing to life this interesting and intimate form of music.
