Prerequisites: None A six week course designed for those people who would like to learn basic drawing skills and for those who have long held the urge to draw but were handicapped through lack of knowledge. Any one who has ever watched children drawing would be struck byt heir obviuos pleasure and innate trust of drawing. A major aim of the course is to remember the pleasure that was once taken in the simple act of drawing and to build a skill-set around that pleasure.
Students would be encouraged to draw the "real" and resist copying from photographs. A variety of subject matter will be used in the last 2 lessons live model. The language of drawin, of picture makiing, line, tone and composition would be continually reinforced with short exercises but the major emphasis would be individual tutoring.
