French is often called the language of love, which is hardly surprising given the French people's reputation as a nation of incurable romantics. The French language conjures images of Paris in the spring time, strolling hand in hand down the Champs D'Elysees or kissing on a boat on the Seine - just imagine being able to be there and say the right words. But not all French words are about romance. A lot of business is conducted in French, so if you're interested in working in Europe, it can really help to have a grasp of basic French under your belt.
